CRIMINOLOGIST
As a criminology educator and scholar, my expertise focuses on marginalized populations, victim and survivor needs, and exploring the potential of restorative justice. This perspective informs my work and drives my commitment to social justice.
PRACTITIONER
Having worked in the criminal justice field before entering academia and continuing to deliver training and programs to incarcerated people as a volunteer, I believe my research must connect with practitioners. My scholarship can be summed up as intentionally building bridges between research and practice.
EGALITARIAN
I stand with those who are disproportionately impacted by the justice system, as well as students who have been excluded from full participation in our educational institutions. Dismantling systems of oppression is an urgent and necessary task.
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”
